Air amplifiers are compact, low cost air flow “movers” that are virtually maintenance free. Applications include the venting of fumes and smoke, conveying of low weight materials, and entraining a high volume of air to cool, blow off, and dry.
Air Amplifiers use the “Coanda Effect” to draw in the surrounding atmospheric air while consuming only a minimal amount of compressed air. These products can amplify airflow up to 17 times (depending on the size) resulting in dramatically reduced levels of noise.
Air Jets are designed to reduce compressed air consumption and noise levels while maintaining laminar flow for strong blow off force. They entrain large volumes of surrounding air through the Jet and are more efficient flow amplifiers than Air Nozzles. They cover a larger blow off target than a Nozzle and are ideal for part ejection.
An air nozzle provides a point force, while the Air Jet acts more like a “hand” and covers a larger area in blow off coverage. This can be an advantage in part ejection where two nozzles are normally required to “direct” the ejected part while only one jet is needed. This can dramatically reduce energy required as well as have a lower footprint on the machine.
The older designs of Air Nozzles are quite efficient at converting pressure to flow. In fact, as flow amplifiers, they are actually better for “cooling” as they have less force/CFM, but more flow/CFM than more engineered nozzles like the Air Mag™ series. The Air Mag™ series of nozzles utilize some patented features to create the highest force/CFM of any air nozzle we know of.
All Air Nozzles meet OSHA standard CFR 1910.242(b) for dead end pressure and noise levels are dramatically lower in addition to having lower energy use.
Air Nozzles (Air Mag™)
Air Nozzle (Air Mag™) is an engineered nozzle with a unique patented design to assist in focusing the compressed air from the supply line and entrained air from the surroundings to a sharper laminar flow of air with the highest force per SCFM on the market.
This both reduces compressed air energy use and noise levels as compared to open jets and pipe. Even replacing competitive air nozzles can provide significant cost savings in energy and noise levels. The nozzle is of rugged, cast zinc, single piece design ideal for harsh environments and 316L stainless steel for food, pharmaceutical, and corrosive environment applications.
Ring Blade™ Air Wipe Blowoff Systems
The Ring Blade™ Air Wipe is a lightweight, compact, and easy to install, piece of equipment that produces an even 360 degree blow off around the part. It reduces compressed air use for energy saving as well as significantly lowers noise levels. The systems are essentially maintenance free with blow off output easily controlled with a regulator.
Air Blade™ Air Knives
The Air Knife Systems utilize compressed air for industrial blow off and cooling applications. They are used extensively to replace rows of air nozzles or jets or drilled pipes to reduce energy. The curtain-like airflow of the Air Knife is an efficient way to dry, clean, and cool.
Energy reduction using air knives can be anywhere from 30% to 90% depending on the application, and can have a noise reduction of 10 to 15 dBA or more.
Air Edger™ Flat Jet Nozzles
The Air Edger™ Flat Jet Air Nozzle is designed to provide a powerful stream of high velocity laminar flow and high force for blow off and cooling where air knives may not be enough. Air knives are ideal for liquid and dust blow off, but when heavier material requires extra “force” to move, this product does the job well.
The internal chamber and outside shape are optimally designed to convert the pressure normally lost in the form of noise and pressure drop into useful flow and force. The product uses the “Coanda Effect” to effectively “amplify” air flow in such a way as to reduce energy and exhaust noise while maintaining a strong blow off force.
Manifold Mounted Systems
Manifold Systems allows for the Nex Flow™ Air Edgers™ or Standard Air Nozzles or Air Mag™ Nozzles to be mounted in combinations of two, four and 6 items for blow off and cooling applications where air knives may not be applicable and when a set length of blow-off is required.
These systems are available in aluminum and stainless steel, and provided with any of the air nozzles, and in particular the Air Edger™ flat jet nozzle, it creates a more powerful air knife effect when regular air knives are not powerful enough.
